Well holy damn... it's 2018 already

Here's a bit of catching up. In 2017, my business partner and I launched Modern Studio. It was a grand vision, but I had just taken a full time job as morning host for our local NPR affiliate. Waking up at 3am wasn't conducive to running a venue, so by late summer, I had to bow out. Fast forward to the beginning of 2018, and my finances were in disarray (the station pay isn't great and my child support now eats up 51% of my take-home pay -- I work 3 jobs or more to make ends meet and still have to beg/borrow for money).

So now we're here, the first days of a cold Spring and I'm rebooting things. At the risk of juggling too much, I'm starting a new podcast AND restarting the reviews on my ADG YouTube channel, which actually did really well. The iOttie review I did 2 years ago got 17,000 views! There's clearly a need for this stuff. And after taking some voice and acting lessons, I think I can bring a valuable voice to the "stage" of tech reviews. Well, that and my decade of experience of reviewing stuff from my AOL/Weblogs days.

Stay tuned, for real this time. Unless I get a killer job in San Francisco, lol.

Back in 2017!

Hey everyone! Or all 2 of you? This week Angry Dad Gamer returns in a LIVE event at Modern Studio in Knoxville, TN. My hope all along was that we'd have an actual venue where I could play, and now that's a reality. Thanks to a lot of hard work by my partners in crime, we got Modern Studio up and running in around 9 months. It's a multi-use venue space that will be the new home of Superpixel Studios (my production company) and Angry Dad Gamer's future antics. This week we'll probably start small, but look for special guests each month!

What's in store for 2016

I'm hoping to start some tutorials and have the kids streaming soon! Meanwhile I'll be focusing on my work with Superpixel Studios.

It's almost Fall!

Some updates on me:
The business I was working on has been delayed, so I'm not moving. Unfortunately, since this isn't paying the bills (I wish it would!), I've had to start driving for Uber to help raise money, and that will eat up my weekend nights. BUT:
- Just put up a new schedule that is more sustainable AND includes a couple of revamped shows that I think will be more interesting.

I'm sad I can't attend Twitchcon, but I know I'll be following online coverage. I'll very likely be experimenting with YouTube's new gaming platform next week as well.

Season 2 coming in June!

I've had some travel lately (it is summer AND conference season) so shows are a little spotty. But fear not! Here's a quick roadmap:

- First hardware review went live last Friday

- Next hardware review goes live this Friday

- First GAME review hits this coming Sunday, then an APP review this coming Tuesday

- More GTA videos on the way!

- More guests!

And I will still make a video or post showing my rig, I just didn't want to do it while I was away (despite having an attack cat and elaborate security system).

We'll have some shows between now and then, but after June 15 our "new" season will begin, with a finalized schedule and a published guest calendar, so you know when to tune in.
